Couples Counselling & Family Therapy

Couples and families come in all different shapes and sizes, but we often exist in relationships that would benefit from better communication or from gaining a deeper understanding of the people we interact with. Couples and family therapy is different from individual therapy as it aims to provide a "360 degree view" of the world for each participant. We focus on the process of each individual being heard, building connections and working together to find common goals. We don't blame or shame, we tackle things together!

Family therapy is also a fantastic way of supporting young people. This process promotes the idea that we do not need to navigate life alone. We can get through anything, together.

Family therapy and couples counselling can help with:

  • problematic or worrying behaviour in children and adolescents

  • changing family dynamics (marriage, birth, death, divorce, moving)

  • Improving communication across the couple relationship or family unit

  • parenting strategies, including: communication and relationship improvement

  • Improving adult sibling / friendship communication

  • Separating parents

Our on-site counsellor, Jade Forster, will work with you to find out if couples counselling or Family Therapy is right for you! Contact jade@letstalkpsychology.com.au
